Privacy Policy 🔒

Last updated: October 9, 2026

ZamZom ("we", "our", "us") operates the website zamzom.com (the "Site"), a free collection of educational HTML5 games for children. Protecting the privacy of our young players and their families is our highest priority — it shapes every technical decision we make, from requiring no accounts to storing game progress only on your own device.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is and isn't collected when you use ZamZom, how advertising and analytics technologies work on our Site, and the rights you have. By using ZamZom, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

ZamZom is designed around a simple principle: children should be able to play and learn without giving up personal information. Unlike many websites, we do not ask children (or adults) to create accounts, sign in, or provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifiers to play our games. Every game on ZamZom is fully playable anonymously. We believe this "privacy by design" approach is the safest possible foundation for a children's website, and we will not change it.

2. Information We Collect From Children: None

We do not knowingly collect, store, or share any personal information from children under 13 — no names, email addresses, photographs, voice recordings, locations, or persistent identifiers tied to an individual child. Because we operate no accounts, chats, messaging systems, or user-generated content features, there is simply no channel through which a child could provide us personal information during normal play. If we ever become aware that personal information of a child has been shared with us (for example, through a contact-form message), we will delete it promptly upon discovery or upon parental request.

3. Information You Voluntarily Provide (Contact Only)

The only way personal information reaches us is if you choose to contact us — for example, by emailing contact@zamzom.com, calling +1 (989) 772-4567, or submitting our contact form (which opens your own email app). In that case we receive whatever you include in your message (such as your name and email address) and use it solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share contact correspondence with third parties for marketing, and we do not add correspondents to any mailing list (we don't operate one).

4. Information Stored on Your Device Only (Local Storage)

To make games more fun, some titles save progress — such as your best score — using your browser's built-in localStorage feature. Key facts about this data:

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

ZamZom's own code sets no tracking cookies. However, third-party services we use — Google AdSense for advertising and Google Analytics for aggregated site statistics — may set cookies in your browser. These are described in detail in our Cookie Policy, including what each cookie does and how to control or delete them. In short: advertising cookies (such as Google's DoubleClick cookie) may be used to show you relevant ads and measure their performance, and analytics cookies help us understand which games are popular so we can build more of what kids love. No cookie we allow is used to build a personal profile of a child.

6. Google AdSense Advertising

ZamZom displays advertisements served by Google AdSense, which is what keeps the Site 100% free. Important points:

Please also read our Google Ads Disclaimer for the full advertising disclosure.

7. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage patterns — for example, which games get the most plays and which pages load slowly. Analytics data is reported in aggregate only; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we have disabled any advertising/remarketing features within Analytics. You can opt out entirely with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

8. Children's Privacy Laws (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Our practices are designed to comply with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the child-privacy principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K): we do not collect, use, or disclose personal information of children under 13 (or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction), we do not condition play on providing information, and we give parents the rights described below. Because we hold no children's data, most COPPA/GDPR obligations are satisfied structurally — there is simply nothing to access, correct, or delete.

9. Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

10. Data Security

Because we collect no player database of personal data, there is no central store of children's information that could be breached. Our Site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit. Contact correspondence is handled with reasonable care and retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

11. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content

ZamZom contains no third-party links other than advertising, analytics, and policy/opt-out links described in this policy. Our comment sections (where enabled) are powered by a third-party commenting service with its own privacy policy, shown next to the comment form. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites and encourage parents to review them.

12. International Visitors

ZamZom is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the US, please note that any information you voluntarily send us (via contact only) may be processed in the US, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. By contacting us, you consent to this processing.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features or change service providers. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will post a notice on the Site. Continued use of ZamZom after changes means you accept the updated policy.
